A Short Appreciation of Master Comedian and Former Canadian Norm "The King" MacDonald
I'm seeing a flood of tributes on social media and that's cool but I wish The King was around to see it.
In the tributes you're seeing a lot of the same stuff - so I thought I’d pull the audio of some stuff you haven’t heard. Some of my favorite moments with The King. Honestly, even if you've heard these before, they're still just as funny.
CONTAINED WITHIN THE PODCAST
1. Working with Dennis Miller - The King would call into the radio show, and was a frequent guest on his HBO show, where one of his running things on that show was his love of puppetry.
2. The Blue Card Jokes … some writing from Adam Eget and the great Steve O’Donnell.
3. Gilbert Gottfried is comic gold on Norm MacDonald Live. Every episode is a great Norm Macdonald Live episode - my recommendations for specific ones in addition to the Gilbert episode: Andy Dick, Nick Swardson, Steve Merchant and especially the first episode, with Super Dave Bob Einstein.
